Monster Island was the Asylum's 2019 mockbuster and it was released in the same period as Godzilla King of the Monsters. The film tells the story of a mysterious island in which a monstrous creature lives. In a way, the creature is the island.


To keep costs low, the film only follows a few human characters. All A-listers are on one set so they can shoot all their sequences while having lunch. Let's not forget, this is a film about kaiju, so it's pretty much how they work. Maybe The Asylum will be able to do a good job with it.
